A custom ant-based tool crawls along the image, detecting edges, and leaving a trail. The process reveals a new, separate composition that is latent in the origin image.

also known as the Boojum Tree, is a semi-succulent, desert plant endemic to Baja California. Each image is procedurally generated with a custom rhino grasshopper script, which is designed to recreate the particular irregularities (sometimes strange, sometimes awkward, sometimes beautiful) of the true plant.
